After learning about the state of their city and county earlier this month, Auburn and Cayuga County residents will soon have a chance to learn how their schools fare.
The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce will hold its State of the Schools virtually from 10:00-11:30a on Friday, April 19. The event will allow attendees to hear from Auburn Enlarged City School District Superintendent, Jeff Pirozzolo, Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES Superintendent, Brian Hartwell, Cayuga Community College President Dr. Brian Durant, and Wells College President, Johnathan Gibraltar.
Amy Fuller is the chamber’s executive director. Speaking on FLX Morning, she said the event allows the public to get a better understanding of what’s occurring at the schools as well as providing an opportunity to ask questions.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to go on and hear what’s going on and ask questions if they have them,” Fuller said. “It really gives the schools a better opportunity to just focus on the educational side of things.”
Registration for the free event can be done here.
