Cayuga Community College’s 2023-2024 budget has been approved.
At its Tuesday meeting, the county legislature approved the $26.25 million budget which represents a $300,000 increase over last year’s budget.
CCC President Doctor Brian Durant spoke before the vote, saying, “We think the budget is a responsible one. It’s one that does represent an overall increase year over year of about 2.5%.”
As sponsor of the college, Cayuga County will contribute just over $3 million to the budget.
The county also approved a collective bargaining agreement between the school and the College Faculty Association to run from September 2023 through August 2027.
