Voters in one Cayuga County village will soon have a chance to elect two new trustees.
The Village of Cayuga is holding an election on March 19 to fill the two village trustee positions currently being filled by Chelsea Alnutt and Shane Ellis. With no candidates listed on the ballot, voters will write in their two picks.
The winners will serve for two years with their terms beginning April 1.
Voters can cast their ballots from 12:00-9:00p at the Village Office located at 6205 Railroad Street.
The village is also looking to hire a deputy clerk.
The part-time position would see the hiree assist the village clerk with such duties as tax collection, record filing/management, and covering for the clerk when she is out of the office.
Applications are due by close of business on Friday, April 5.
