Members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office braved the 39-degree temperature of Oneida Lake to take part in the 2024 Special Olympics Polar Plunge. Undersheriff Stu Peenstra said it was a very rewarding experience for the department.
“Led by Deputy Alan Jayne, our team raised over $5000.00 to support our local athletes,” said Peenstra. “We are very proud to take part in a great cause.”
