Locally, events kick off the week of September 29 at:
- A.A. Gates Elementary – Monday, September 29
- Millard Fillmore Elementary – Tuesday, September 30
- Weedsport Elementary – Wednesday, October 1
The following week, the Auburn Enlarged City School District will participate:
- Herman Ave Elementary – Monday, October 6
- Owasco Elementary – Tuesday, October 7
- Casey Park Elementary – Wednesday, October 8 (official Walk to School Day)
- Genesee Elementary – Thursday, October 9

Parents and guardians are encouraged to leave the car at home and walk their children to school. Students will receive flyers with educational material, which they are encouraged to review with parents before the events.
