A single-vehicle crash in the Town of Victory early Sunday morning left one man dead and another injured.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, the SUV was heading north on Coolican Road near Kasson Way around 3:30 a.m. when it went off the east side of the road, rolled over, and ejected the driver. He was taken to Upstate Hospital, where he later died. The passenger suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Authorities are withholding the driver’s name until family members are notified.
Multiple agencies helped at the scene, including the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Red Creek and Fair Haven fire departments, and Lakeshore Ambulance.
