You can bloom into spring this weekend at one area state park.
The Friends of Fillmore Glen State Park and the Moravia Area Garden Club will hold a variety of programming this Saturday at Fillmore Glen.
The events begin at 9:00a with coffee and a light breakfast at the Fillmore Room. This will lead to a workshop on spring wildflowers at Fillmore Glen and how to identify them.
From 10:30-11:00a, there will be a Bioblitz where people can make their way to the park’s entrance area and document real-life examples of the plants discussed during the workshop. The Bioblitz is designed to be accessible for those of all abilities.
During this same time, family-friendly activities and crafts will also be available in and around the Fillmore Room Pavilion.
From 11:00a-12:00p, participants will be able to explore and continue the Bioblitz. Attendees can explore the roughly 1.5-mile Snowmobile Trail (moderate to challenging terrain) or the entrance area and Cowshed Falls (level terrain).
There are no admission, parking, or workshop fees.
