Auburn Man Gets Prison Time for Drugs

A local man will spend the next eight years in prison after a search warrant executed at his home one year ago turned up more than 77 grams of cocaine and 49 grams of crack cocaine.

Kyreese Gilliam was sentenced Thursday on felony convictions of criminal possession of a controlled substance. After police found the drugs in Gilliam’s Thorton Avenue home in Auburn, they found a small amount of cocaine and 75-HUNDRED dollars in cash on him when he was placed under arrest.

At the time of his arrest, the 27-year-old Gilliam was awaiting sentencing for unrelated gun and drug charges
