Drivers in Auburn are urged to use caution over the next several weeks as the Auburn Fire Department conducts its annual maintenance on all city fire hydrants.
Fire crews will flush the city’s hydrants during this time. Drivers are asked to use care when passing the trucks.
Residents are also reminded that flushing hydrants can lead to cloudy water in neighborhoods shortly after flushing. If this happens, run your water for a few minutes until the water clears up.
Anyone with concerns about their water quality can call the Water Department at 315-255-4180 or the Water Filtration Plant at 315-253-8754.
