Auburn will continue its revolving loan programs to help homeowners make repairs to their sidewalks, curbs, sewer lines, or water lines.
City Council voted on Thursday to continue the city’s revolving loan programs. The programs allow property owners to finance the costs of sidewalk and curb replacement and sewer or water line repairs or replacement.
City Clerk Chuck Mason explained how the programs work on FLX Morning with Ted Baker.
“It’ll finance the costs of the upgrade and it’ll put the cost onto your property tax bill in five segments over the next five years. So, it’s a way that the city helps local property owners finance these expenses that do come up from time to time,” said Mason.
Application information for the water and sewer program can be found here. For the sidewalk program, interested applicants should contact the Engineering Department at 315-253-3764 or by email at [email protected].
