Earth Day is just over a month away but the City of Auburn and the Auburn Beautification Commission are already planning its celebrations.
On Saturday, April 20th, city staff will offer a tour of the Mill Street Hydroelectric facility where attendees can learn how the river flow is turned into electricity.
Following the tour will be the annual Owasco River clean-up day. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Mill Street Dam to begin cleaning litter from the riverbank. Attendees are asked to bring their own gloves and rakes.
The tour begins at 9:30a with the clean up to follow.
