A significant investment in the new Auburn Heart and Vascular Institute at Auburn Community Hospital will be made possible thanks to a record-setting amount of resources raised at the Auburn Community Hospital Foundation’s annual gala.

Approximately 325 people attended the “Best is Yet to Come” gala at the Emerson Park Pavilion, raising more than $150,000 at the charitable event. Gala proceeds will support improvements to the Auburn Heart and Vascular Institute and the construction of a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

“I am grateful for the generosity of so many who made our gala a success. Our Auburn Heart and Vascular Institute is growing, thriving, and providing phenomenal care to our patients,” said Auburn Community Hospital President and CEO Scott A. Berlucchi.

“With your ongoing support we are confident in your ability to shape Auburn Community Hospital into an integrated healthcare system that will serve our community for generations to come,” added Auburn Community Hospital Board of Trustees Chairman Anthony D. Franceschelli.

The gala comes on the heels of the recent kickoff of a $50 million fundraising capital campaign to support Auburn Community Hospital. The charitable effort, titled “Health With Heart, will help build two new operating rooms and expand the Heart and Vascular Institute.

“What we share in this room is an understanding of how truly special Auburn Community Hospital is, and the vital role in the community and the role it plays in our own lives,” said Auburn Community Hospital Foundation Gala Co-Chair Shannon Sherburne.

“The best is yet to come for us,” concluded Auburn Community Hospital Foundation Gala Co-Chair Dr. Alan Sherburne.

The next Auburn Community Hospital Foundation fundraiser will be a charity golf tournament on September 8th at the Skaneateles Country Club.
