Law enforcement is investigating after a window was found broken Thursday morning at the Washington, D.C., residence of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, who represents New York’s 24th District, which includes all of the Finger Lakes. No one inside the home was injured.
According to officials, both local law enforcement and the U.S. Capitol Police are reviewing the incident. The cause of the damage and whether it was intentional remain unclear.
In a statement, Tenney called the incident “disturbing and unacceptable,” and thanked officers for their quick response.
“I am grateful that no one was hurt, and I want to thank law enforcement for their rapid response and continued efforts to keep our community safe,” she said. “Violence, intimidation, and attacks against public officials or their families have no place in our society. I will not be deterred from doing my job on behalf of the people of New York.”
