Celebrating Women’s History Month 2026
Colleen Kattau, singer and songwriter, will be performing at the Frontenac Museum in Union Springs. Kattau’s
performance will feature her playing guitar and ukulele as well as singing songs about the suffrage movement and women’s rights.
Kattau earned a doctorate in American Language and Culture from SU and is now a Spanish language professor at SUNY Cortland. She is a long-time musical activist, believing in the transformative power of song and all the arts to create a better world. She will be encouraging the audience to sing along with her, so be prepared with your best vocalization.
This event is free, and it is supported in part by Commemorate 250 funding provided by the City of Auburn’s Historic and Cultural Sites Commission and the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center.
We hope to see you there!
