1977 State Route 414 Waterloo, NY 13148
Join us on Saturday December 21, 2024, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM, as we learn about the first day of Winter (usually December 21st) and the three other seasons. We will have activities to illustrate the motions of the Earth and the Sun to explain seasonal phenomena. We will also celebrate, as immediately after the Winter Solstice, the length of daylight increases through the Summer Solstice, usually June 21st. This is a free event, and all ages, individuals, families, and groups are welcome! The location will be the Seneca Meadows Education Center at 1977 NYS Route 414 Waterloo, NY 13165. The pizza dinner will begin at 6:00 PM. Attendees must register by Wednesday night, December 18, so we know how much pizza to order. Please use the right-hand side of this message to register.
Along with the fire, if it is clear we will observe planets, stars, and constellations. Please be prepared with warm clothing.
Space is limited and even though there is no charge, registration is required. Click https://act.audubon.org/a/solstice-fire-and-pizza to register.
