Join Montezuma Audubon Center staff for guided bird walks every hour throughout the day of the Total Solar Eclipse. The eclipse is happening April 8, 2024, and the walks are starting at 11am and ending at 4pm. These 1-mile leisure walks will give participants a look into how birds respond to the total solar eclipse. Will owls start hooting? Will songbirds return to their nests? Will waterfowl stop calling? We will explore the forest, grassland and wetland habitats to find answers to these questions and discuss how Montezuma is managed for songbirds, waterfowl, shorebirds and birds of prey.

Here are the program times on Monday, April 8, 2024:

An Audubon educator will lead participants through our trails. Meet at Montezuma Audubon Center (2295 State Route 89, Savannah, NY 13146) and everyone is welcome to participate!
