GENEVA, NY (For Immediate Release) — The City of Geneva Green Committee, partnering with the Town of Geneva Sustainability Committee, the Geneva Shade Tree Committee and the Geneva High School Green Club, presents “Mission Zero 4: Creating new pathways for living in harmony with the Earth” on Saturday April 26 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Geneva Recreation Complex (The Ice Rink), at 666 S. Exchange St.

The event’s many features highlight earth-friendly practices and initiatives including over 30 Earth-Friendly Vendors and Organizations:
— Geneva Shade Tree Commission sapling give-away to City residents
— Fix-it & Sewing Clinic – bring your small items for repair
— Solar energy for your home or business
— EV bikes, cars, and trucks to lower your carbon footprint & transportation costs
— Activity area for Kids of all ages: make a seed bomb, plant flowers and vegetables to take home, face painting, poster-making and coloring
— Solar Home Tours
— ReUse it, don’t toss it – see how Ithaca has reduced trash
— Lowering your heating & cooling costs: heat pumps & insulation
— Lake Friendly living and yard care practices
— Local and organic greens and vegetable opportunities
— An award winning HWS student design to control storm water

In addition to presentations, there will be about 30 booths featuring information on solar energy options in the Finger Lakes, air-to-air & Geothermal Heat pumps, Weatherizing homes to increase comfort and decrease costs, solar homes, composting, reuse and recycling, sustainable home products, locally grown produce, lake friendly yard care and numerous conservation and environmental offerings.
