Intro to Pastels: Painting of the Landscape 1 with Lana Grauer

In this workshop you will learn the basics of pastel painting. We will cover types of pastels and paper, the basic steps in the development of a landscape painting and a few tricks to make your painting pop. This class is open to all levels. It’s a two part workshop, with demonstrations of underpainting in the second week. This technique is used to make your painting more dynamic and interesting. It pushes you towards a less rigid and looser style of painting. Students may sign up for one or both sessions. Contact Arts Center for a list of supplies needed.
