What’s your dream? The Hollywood sign on the LA hillside tells everyone who’s anyone (and more than a few who are no one) that… they’ve arrived! On February 21, 22 and 23 the Geneva Theatre Guild pays homage to this film capital of the country with their mid-winter play, COMPLETELY HOLLYWOOD (abridged), produced by special arrangement with Broadway Play Publishing Inc, NYC www.broadwayplaypublishing.com

GTG’s 2025 Winter Production will be directed by the group’s biggest fan of satire comedy plays, Loren Schmidtgall. Written by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, with additional material by Dominic Conti, the play gives Hollywood more than just a nip and a tuck: It includes the legendary classics, the just as legendary flops, and everything in between.

Come take a walk with us down Hollywood’s colorful memory lane as Jesse Tyler Halstead, Steve Mitchell and Devon Osborne condense the 186 greatest films in Hollywood’s over 100-year history into a complete compilation of classic cinematic cliches. This seriously silly, fast-paced satirical comedy will surely be a box-office hit and a future GTG classic.

So, get your clapper boards ready as we rummage through the reels, flick through the films, and dig through the dramas and dreams in this riotous carnival of the classics. Which are your favorites? It doesn’t matter. You may not recognize them once these guys get through with them – and some of them may sound like the answer to a Jeopardy category. But in any case, you’re not going to want to miss this play. It promises to be a hoot and a half!

Directed by Loren Schmidtgall with voice-overs by Serena Orrego, COMPLETELY HOLLYWOOD (abridged) will be performed at the Pat Collins Black Box Theatre at the Geneva Community Center, 160 Carter Road on February 21 and 22 at 7:30, and February 23 at 2:00. Tickets are available online at genevatheatreguild.org and at the door.
