Adult Pottery: Our National Animals in Clay with Linda LaRock

Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with this fun pottery project! During this class, you will learn how to use pinch pot techniques to sculpt our National mammal, the Bison, or our National bird, the Bald Eagle. By using soft clay, water, vinegar, and multiple pinch pots, you can create your bird or bison in no time. These animals’ figures will be broken down into simplified shapes. First the appendages are attached, then the head. Once their main frame is assembled you can decide its pose and details of life-like appearances. Before you know it, your bison or eagle will feel like it is alive!!!! How exciting… and this skill could be used in the next creature you create. All levels are welcome to join, ages 18+.
