Adult Pottery: Miniature Bust of President Washington with Linda LaRock

Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with this fun pottery project! Come learn techniques in clay portraiture and sculpting with the 1st President of the United States as our subject. We will look closely at George Washington’s facial features and create a miniature bust of him. Various photos will be provided to study this historic figure in detail. Students will learn specific techniques to manipulate the clay to create eyes, lips, nose and hair, and the elaborate clothing of his time period. Plenty of individual guidance will be given. All levels are welcome to join, ages 18+.
