Adult Pottery: “American Flag” Wall Planter with Linda LaRock

Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with this fun pottery project! Create your own hangable wall planter in the theme of our Nation’s flag. We will use a method of production called “slab construction”. First, a thick slab of clay will be provided to allow for the carving of the USA Flag. Once the flag is carved, you will then place it on a round slab of clay that becomes the back of your planter. Linda will discuss the difference between leather hard clay and soft clay, and teach you techniques in using slip (the potter’s “glue”) to ensure the flag wall planter will not leak or crack! All levels are welcome to join, ages 18+.
