Cayuga County 4-H and the City of Auburn invite the public to celebrate the approach of the holiday seasons with activities, a parade, live music, and a tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, November 30, 2024. From 2:00-5:00pm, 4-H will host some pre-parade fun with a Paint-a-Clover event at the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center & Auburn NY Visitor Center at 25 South Street in Auburn.
Youth and adults who participate will receive a wooden clover to decorate on-site, along with access to all the green paint, glitter, and pom poms they want to use, for a $5 fee. Completed clovers will be displayed at the 12th Annual Festival of Trees hosted by the Ward H. O’Hara Agricultural and Country Living Museum in Auburn through January 31, 2025. Proceeds from this fundraiser help support 4-H youth activities in Cayuga County.
The Paint-a-Clover event is open to all youth and adults regardless of whether they are involved with 4-H or not. This is a great opportunity to check out the Cayuga County 4-H program, ask questions and see whether joining 4-H is a good choice for your family.
4-H families are invited to attend the event or to volunteer behind the table. Please email Sara Wagner at [email protected] if your 4-H member would like to sign up to volunteer at this event and fulfill their fundraising duty for the year. Shifts will be 2 hours long (1:30-3:30 and 3:30-5:30) and 4-H members will help set up or clean up, keep the art supplies full, and the table neat and tidy.
