Wednesday is the deadline to register to take the sheriff’s office’s entrance exam for patrol deputies. The exam itself will take place on September 28.
According to the sheriff’s office, patrol deputy salaries range from $62,279-$78,280 plus overtime. Benefits include 20-year retirement, 10-21 vacation days, and health/dental insurance.
