Oats & O’s Coming to Newark

SHARE NOW

Oats & O’s will soon be coming to Newark! The family business plans on opening in August at 230 West Union Street, next to Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant. Oats & O’s will specialize in breakfast foods such as Specialty Donuts, Breakfast Burritos/Sandwiches, Coffee, and Oatmeal with delicious fresh toppings that will kickstart anyone’s morning.

Anthony Fischkelta and his wife, Ashley, spent over 30 years in Southern California where he obtained a Bachelors in Business and a degree in Culinary Arts. They decided to move back to Newark, where Ashley grew up, to raise their own family. After visiting here and seeing all the area has to offer, Anthony’s parents and cousin have moved to Newark as well.

Anthony commented, “We will be reasonably priced, with items quickly and freshly made, so everyone can enjoy a delicious breakfast without breaking their budget. Our location will have seating inside available, but we will make sure to get to-go orders filled quickly, efficiently, and consistently to keep to everyone’s morning schedules who may not have time to sit down and eat. Seasonal offerings will be available to keep our menu fresh and exciting and we will be naming some of our items after influential people and businesses in the area. We look forward to supporting the local businesses and sports teams and aim to give back to this great community in any way we can. All of us at Oats & O’s look forward to seeing everybody soon and can’t wait to serve Newark!”

Mayor Jonathan Taylor stated, “It’s always exciting when a new business opens in our community. The fact that Anthony and his family moved all the way across the county and chose Newark to raise a family and start a business from the ground up, makes it even more special. As Newark grows, it will be great to have more options for our residents, tourists, and those who make Newark a destination for many reasons.”

“It is nice to see another family business starting up in Newark,” said Robbin Bremer, Economic Development Facilitator, “We need businesses of all sizes and types to attract visitors and retain residents. Business owners that choose Newark see it as an idyllic setting with unlimited potential, and it really is amazing that so many have a willingness to give back to the community and an eagerness to make the Village a better place. Welcome to Newark Oats & O’s!”
