The Village of Newark is pleased to announce that Zach Klaver has been promoted to the position of Working Foreman in the Village’s Department of Public Works where he will assist with overseeing the daily operations of the workforce. Zach started with the DPW in May of 2016 as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He maintains a Class A commercial driver’s license and is currently working towards obtaining his Grade D water operator’s certification. Zach works across all areas within the DPW but spends most of his time on water and sewer maintenance as well as vehicle and equipment maintenance. Zach lives here in Newark with his wife Leslie and son Colby. The Village looks forward to Zach taking on these new responsibilities.
Mayor Jonathan Taylor stated, “In Zach’s eight years with the village he has quickly proven to be a leader in our Department of Public Works. His wide range of skills has been a tremendous asset to the Village and our residents. We are looking forward Zach leading our team for years to come.”
