A large turnout of around 50 individuals and businesses attended a Member Milestone Celebration that was held on October 19th, which honored the official Grand Opening and Relocation of CCMI Incorporated’s newly built facility at 2939 State Route 14 in Geneva.
The event featured tours, a short presentation by owner, Anthony Lewis, light refreshments, and a photo op with a ribbon cutting.
CCMI Inc. was founded in 1991 by Wells C. Lewis as a plastic fabrication business. The name of the business stands for Create, Construct, Manufacture and Invent. Originally located in Auburn, the business moved to a larger space in downtown Geneva. In 2004, Wells’s son Anthony joined the business and expanded operations with new technology and customers. Today, CCMI has grown into four specific departments, CNC Routing, CNC Machining, Heavy Gauge or Cut Sheet Thermoforming, and final fabrication and finishing. CCMI moved into their new headquarters on April 1st which features a state-of-the-art 18,000-square-foot facility located off the New York State Thruway.
The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce is a private, membership-based organization that specializes in public relations and marketing services for its customers by promoting the people, property, products, and services of each. The Chamber has a primary office in Geneva but is one of the only of its kind that offers specialty services, and operates on a regional level, serving members and customers throughout various counties and communities in the Finger Lakes. Member Milestone Celebrations are one of the most popular examples of member programs that businesses can take advantage of. Among others, the celebrations include anniversaries, grand openings, or relocation-based open houses.
