Former Cayuga County Historian & Teacher to Be Honored at Frontenac Museum

From the Frontenac Historical Society and Museum:

The dedication of the Thomas Eldred Military History Room will be held October 1st at 2pm at the Frontenac Museum. For many years Eldred served as Cayuga County Historian and taught history at Union Springs High School. He served on the Cayuga County Bicentennial Committee and is a founding member of the Frontenac Museum. He generously shares his deep knowledge of military history with students and researchers. Eldred has provided scholarships for students to attend Civil War Seminars and as the person you contact when you have military history questions or observations.

Please join us to recognize the many contributions of Tom Eldred as we dedicate the Military History room in his honor. Past students of Tom’s are especially encouraged to attend and share their remembrances with him. Refreshments will be served.
