Community Bank Hires New Commercial Banking Officer

Community Bank is pleased to welcome Dan Kennell to its Rochester commercial banking team. In his new role, Kennell will manage a diverse portfolio of loan and deposit relationships with valued business clients in the Greater Rochester community. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the underwriting, deal structuring and the legal closing process for commercial banking relationships, he will collaborate with core teams across the organization to provide comprehensive and innovative solutions to match the evolving needs of Community Bank’s customers.

Prior to joining Community Bank, Kennell served as relationship manager, commercial middle market at KeyBank for the past two years. Throughout his 10 years of experience in the banking industry, Kennell was also employed at M&T Bank in various product management and commercial banking roles, and co-founded S+E Consulting, where he also served as chief financial officer.

Kennell earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Rochester and went on to receive his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Outside of work, he proudly serves on the Rochester New Leadership Council for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York. Kennell resides in Penfield with his family.
