Cayuga County CCE Seeks Board Members

SHARE NOW
Cornell Cooperative Extension Cayuga County (CCE-Cayuga) is recruiting Cayuga County residents with diverse interests and backgrounds to serve as members of its Board of Directors.  Board members guide and shape the direction of the organization’s many programs, oversee its finances and operations, select and evaluate the performance of its director, and other duties that help to ensure CCE-Cayuga effectively meets the current needs of Cayuga County residents.
Founded in 1914, CCE-Cayuga provides free or low-cost classes, workshops, services and information based on current research from Cornell and other Land Grant universities across the nation. Its programs are grassroots driven and created in response to community identified needs, on topics that include agriculture, environmental issues, food and nutrition, 4-H youth clubs and activities, home gardening, and more.  Visit https://ccecayuga.org/ for more on the organization’s history and work.
New board members would serve a 3-year term from January 2026 through December 2028, with an option to continue for a second term. The full Board of Directors meets in person at the CCE offices in Auburn on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30–7:00pm. Board members should plan to attend all meetings to ensure that we meet quorum, though occasional scheduling conflicts can be accommodated. There is no financial commitment required to serve. Members of the board are elected at the CCE Cayuga Annual Meetingor may be appointed by the board between annual meetings.
