Cornell Cooperative Extension announces the 4H Market Poultry Show will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, starting at 3:00pm. The location is the Ward W. O’Hara Agricultural and Country Living Museum, 6880 NY-38A, Auburn, NY (across from Emerson Park, Owasco)
Here is your opportunity to see the Market Poultry and Ducks that will be offered for auction at the Cayuga County 4-H Youth Fair & Market Auction. You can speak with the 4-H exhibitors about their projects, watch the show and see the birds awarded Grand and Reserve Champion.
You can then place your winning bid on any pair of birds you like at the 4-H Youth Fair and Market Auction, Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Union Springs Fire Department., 257 Cayuga Street (next to Union Spring HS)
Market Chickens and Ducks will be sold in lots of two, processed, frozen market chickens or ducks.
The 2024 edition of the 4H Youth Fair and Market Auction will run from Thursday through Saturday, August 1-3. The Youth Fair begins at 6:00pm Thursday with Youth Building Project Judging. Livestock and dairy showmanship begin at 12:00 on Friday. Here you can view the other Market livestock that will be up for auction on Saturday. This is another chance to talk with the 4H exhibitors about their projects.
The Youth Fair concludes on Saturday with the Dairy Breed Show, rabbit and cavy shows at 10:00am. Livestock Market Auction begins at 3:00pm. The buyer’s reception and registration will begin at 1:00pm. Don’t miss the opportunity to be the last to bid on steers, lambs, goats, and hogs in addition to the poultry!
