Canario Joins Thompson Health Primary Care Team

CANANDAIGUA – Dr. José Canario recently joined The Mary Clark Thompson Family Practice, an affiliate of F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Canario is a Geneva resident who graduated from the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va., completing his family medicine residency at UR Medicine’s Highland Hospital. He later obtained a master’s in medical management from the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business.
From 2016 through March of this year, Dr. Canario served as chief medical officer for the Penn Yan-based Finger Lakes Community Health. He previously treated patients at a family practice in Penn Yan and also served as medical director of both the Keuka College Health Center and the urgent care centers operated by FLH Medical, PC, in Geneva, Clifton Springs, and Seneca Falls.
Dr. Canario treats both children and adults at The Mary Clark Thompson Family Practice, which is located at the Sands Family YMCA, 351 North St. in Canandaigua. To become a patient, call 585-975-5125.
