GENEVA-Ashlynn Guarneri, MSN, AGACNP-BC has joined the medical staff of Geneva General Hospital, 196 North Street, Geneva in the hospitalist department.
Guarneri received her Master of Science degree in Nursing in the Acute Care Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner program from St. John Fisher College, Wegmans School of Nursing in Rochester, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from SUNY Brockport College in Brockport, NY. She was a graduate of Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing & Health Sciences, located on the campus of Geneva General Hospital.
A lifelong learner, she began her career at Finger Lakes Health as a Housekeeper and transitioned to patient care by becoming an Aide. Her experience at Geneva General Hospital continued as she worked on the medical/surgical unit as a Registered Nurse. In addition, she was a clinical adjunct professor at Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing & Health Sciences. Most recently, Guarneri worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Geneva General Hospital.
While working in the Intensive Care Unit, she was honored with “The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses®”. Established by The DAISY Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, by members of his family, this award recognizes nurses who have had a profound impact in the lives of their patients and patient families.
Guarneri lives in the Finger Lakes with her husband and children. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and three Rottweilers.
