250 People Attend Geneva Eclipse Conference

Eclipses still hold spiritual significance in America.

Today Church groups will hold ceremonies and worship at the center of the solar path of totality.

In Buffalo organizers at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo have bought a thousand eclipse glasses and plan to hand out black-and-white moon deli cookies.

In Geneva, about 250 people-many members of the Church or Latter Day Saints-are are holding a three-day conference leading up to this afternoon’s eclipse.  Organizer Joe Jensen traveled from Ohio and says the eclipse is a major event.

Some religions consider the eclipse as a warning for a “time of prayer and introspection.
