Keuka College softball player Hailey Jasinski is earning conference honors after a strong start to the season.
The junior from Buffalo was named Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week on Monday following an impressive showing during the Wolves’ spring trip to Florida.
Jasinski recorded 10 hits in 21 at-bats, with half going for extra bases. She hit two doubles and three home runs, while a fourth homer against Meredith did not count after the game was called due to weather. She also scored seven runs and drove in eight.
Entering the season with just two career home runs, Jasinski has already matched that total and surpassed it early this year. A two-time All-Empire 8 selection, she currently ranks among the conference leaders in several offensive categories.
The Wolves have returned north and will play at Pitt-Bradford on Thursday. Keuka is scheduled to open its home season Saturday, hosting SUNY Geneseo at 1 p.m.
