The Keuka College baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against SUNY Brockport on Friday, falling 16-2 in the opener and 11-3 in the nightcap.
Keuka College, now 3-9 on the season, saw contributions from several players across the two games. Alex Evans (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and Logan Meisner (Elmira, N.Y./Elmira Notre Dame) each scored a run in game one, while Derek Novicki (North Haven, Conn./North Haven), Evan Cuba (Honeoye, N.Y./Honeoye), and Dan Mrowinski (Syracuse, N.Y./Solvay) crossed the plate in game two.
Game One: SUNY Brockport 16, Keuka College 2 (7 innings)
The Wolves struck first in the opening inning as Alex Evans drew a leadoff walk and later scored on a triple by Derek Novicki to give Keuka a 1-0 lead.
Brockport answered in the second inning to tie the game before breaking it open in the fourth. The Golden Eagles erupted for 12 runs in the frame, capitalizing on Keuka defensive miscues to take control.
Keuka added a run in the sixth inning, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome as Brockport secured a 16-2 victory. The Wolves totaled seven hits in the game.
Game Two: SUNY Brockport 11, Keuka College 3
Brockport took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning before Keuka responded in the fourth to tie the game.
The Golden Eagles quickly regained momentum, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Brockport added another run in the fifth and extended its lead with a four-run sixth inning.
Keuka continued to battle, plating runs in the fifth and sixth innings, but could not close the gap. Brockport added two more runs in the eighth to seal the 11-3 win.

The Wolves will face SUNY Brockport once more before returning home, with first pitch scheduled for Saturday, March 21 at 9 a.m.
