Mobile Dairy Experience Kicks Off Second Tour Across NY

The New York Animal Agriculture Coalition (NYAAC) has officially launched the second tour season of its Mobile Dairy Experience, a traveling exhibit designed to connect the public with the state’s dairy industry.

The 2026 tour kicked off at the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, marking the beginning of another statewide journey that will bring the exhibit to fairs, schools, festivals, and community events from Western New York to New York City.

The Mobile Dairy Experience is a 53-foot, double-expandable trailer featuring interactive displays and hands-on learning stations. Visitors can explore how dairy farms operate, learn about animal care and milk production, and hear directly from farmers through immersive visuals and educational exhibits.

The exhibit debuted in 2025 and drew thousands of visitors during its first season, helping bridge the gap between consumers and agriculture—especially in communities where many residents have little direct exposure to modern farming.

NYAAC Chairman Joel Riehlman said the strong response from students and educators highlighted the value of hands-on learning.

“We’re excited to continue bringing agriculture directly into communities across New York,” Riehlman said. “The enthusiasm we saw during the first tour shows how impactful these experiences can be.”

State Agriculture Commissioner Richard Ball said the exhibit plays an important role in helping people better understand the dairy industry.

“The Mobile Dairy Experience connects the dots between consumers and New York agriculture in a fun and engaging way,” Ball said. “It helps share the story of our dairy community far and wide.”

The initiative is part of NYAAC’s broader mission to provide transparent, accurate information about animal agriculture and strengthen connections between farmers and consumers.

New York is home to approximately 3,000 dairy farms that produce more than 16 billion pounds of milk each year, making it the fifth-largest dairy-producing state in the nation. Dairy remains the state’s largest agricultural sector and a major contributor to its economy.

More information about the Mobile Dairy Experience, including how to request the exhibit for an event, is available on the NYAAC website.
