On Wednesday, the Auburn Police Department announced the arrests of three individuals following a violent fight on Janet Street.
The arrests stem from an incident on March 14, at approximately 5:45 PM. Officers were dispatched to the area of 235 Janet Street for a report of five people fighting and a male being beaten. Upon arrival, police made contact with four individuals seen leaving the area.
An investigation revealed that Jared Medina, Ardee Maxwell, and a juvenile female allegedly assaulted the victim. During the assault, the suspects reportedly punched and kicked the victim repeatedly before dropping a car floor jack on him while he was lying on the ground, causing injuries.
Jared Medina, 18, of Auburn, was charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a class D felony.
Ardee Maxwell, 18, of Auburn, was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
