On Friday, Geneva Police arrested a 36-year-old man on Exchange Street after discovering he had an active warrant for his arrest.
Ryan Pesante-Davila was arrested by Officer Derek Grillone for failing to appear in court regarding the original charges. During the investigation and subsequent processing, officers allegedly found Pesante-Davila to be in possession of a controlled substance.
As a result, he was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
