On Monday, Shelly Dejoy, age 54, of Warners, was arrested by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department after turning herself in on an outstanding arrest warrant.
The warrant stems from a previous investigation into allegations that Dejoy defrauded a local business. Following her surrender at approximately 3:53 p.m., she was charged with one felony count of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree and one misdemeanor count of Petit Larceny.
Dejoy was processed and transported to the Seneca County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
