On Monday, Daniel Closson, age 39, of Seneca Falls, was arrested by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department following a reported domestic incident.
Authorities responded to the call at approximately 10:26 a.m. and conducted an investigation into the matter. It was determined that Closson allegedly threatened to kill the victim and intentionally shut off the utilities to the victim’s living space.
Closson was charged with one count of Criminal Tampering in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, and Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation. Following the arrest, Closson was transported to the Seneca County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
