On Thursday, Denise Picciano, of Auburn, was arrested by Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding warrant from the town of Tyre.
The arrest follows an investigation into a theft that resulted in charges of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and Petit Larceny. Picciano was located by Cayuga County Deputies and subsequently turned over to Seneca County authorities to address the warrant.
Picciano was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for centralized arraignment, where she was released on her own recognizance.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
