Special Olympics New York is hosting a Polar Plunge this week with a new twist: students, teachers, and administrators from schools across the Greater Rochester area will be the first to use an all-new Mobile Polar Plunge unit. The Mobile Polar Plunge is a portable, custom-built trailer that brings a 4.5-foot deep, ice-cold pool.
Young plungers from the classrooms, student clubs, Unified teams, and entire school districts are set to participate, bringing high energy and friendly competition to the Nazareth University campus—all to help expand opportunities for more than 48,000 Special Olympics New York athletes statewide.
