On Saturday, Bryan Mannix, age 38, of Rochester, was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 332 in the town of Canandaigua.
Deputies initially stopped the vehicle at approximately 2:13 a.m. for an insufficient tail lamp. During the course of the investigation, Mannix was allegedly found to be in possession of multiple controlled substances, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia.
Mannix was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, and a traffic violation for an insufficient tail lamp. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
