On Sunday, Geneva Police arrested a local woman following a traffic stop on William Street.
Ebony Crawley, 44, was taken into custody after officers initiated a stop for an alleged failure to signal a lane change. During the investigation, it was determined that Crawley was operating the vehicle with a suspended New York State driver’s license.
Subsequent to the stop, officers conducted a search and allegedly discovered a bag of cocaine in Crawley’s possession. She has been charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
Crawley was processed by Officer Stephen Deck of the Geneva Police Department.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
