Auburn Man Charged With Violating Protection Orders

SHARE NOW

On Thursday, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Auburn man following an investigation into several alleged violations of court orders.

Justin Helmick, 37, was charged with three counts of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and three counts of Aggravated Family Offense. The charges stem from an investigation into an order of protection violation that allegedly occurred while Helmick was incarcerated at the Seneca County Jail. Investigators allege that Helmick made contact with protected parties on multiple occasions despite the standing legal restrictions.

Helmick was processed and transported to Centralized Arraignment Court. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Romulus Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
