The Village of Watkins Glen is now accepting applications for two seasonal Summer Youth Supervisor positions in its Parks & Recreation Department. These supervisors will help oversee the Summer Recreation Program, guiding summer aides and assistants as they work with local youth.
Salary: $22–$24 per hour

Residency Requirement: Applicants must have been legal residents of Schuyler County or a neighboring county (Chemung, Seneca, Steuben, Tompkins, or Yates) for at least one month prior to the application date.
Position Overview:
Summer Youth Supervisors will manage and assign daily tasks to Summer Recreation Assistants and aides, ensure safety protocols are followed, keep records, and provide reports to the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation. Supervisors will also evaluate the performance of program aides and provide guidance throughout the summer program.
Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Completion of at least 30 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited college or university, OR
- Six months of full-time paid experience in human services, employment programs, or a supervisory role, OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Attributes: Candidates should have the ability to work with youth, demonstrate energy, initiative, and friendliness, and be capable of taking and giving directions effectively.
