On Wednesday, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Matthew Coe, 38, of Seneca Falls, following an investigation into the illegal possession of narcotics.
The arrest occurred after officers initially spoke with Coe about a separate, unrelated incident. During the course of that interaction, an investigation revealed that Coe was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.
Coe was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, which is classified as a C Felony. Following his arrest, Coe was processed and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to answer the charge in the Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
