On Monday, a 20-year-old Shortsville man was arrested following a physical disturbance in the Town of Gorham.
Deputies responded to 4112 County Road 18 at approximately 7:25 p.m. to investigate an altercation between Jordan Wicks and another male. Following an investigation, deputies determined that Wicks allegedly intended to cause, and did cause, physical injury to the other individual.
Wicks was arrested at 10:11 p.m. and charged with Assault in the Third Degree. He was processed at the Ontario County Jail and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Gorham Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
