SHARE NOW

On Monday, Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested a Waterloo man following an incident at the Seneca County Correctional Facility in the Town of Romulus.

Willie Spann, 58, was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree. The arrest occurred at approximately 10:30 A.M. after Spann allegedly entered the jail to serve a weekend sentence while in possession of marijuana gummies containing THC.

Spann was transported to the Centralized Arraignment Court and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Romulus Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
